JOLIET, Ill., June 28, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The 2014 Kia Cadenza hasn't been on dealership lots for much more than a month, but it already is making waves among upscale sedan shoppers.
As Kia's first step into the upscale sedan segment, skeptics voiced their concerns over the quality and performance capabilities of the 2014 Kia Cadenza near Chicago, IL before its release. Those critics have been silenced since the Cadenza has reached New Lennox Kia customers and premium sedan shoppers throughout the country. With nearly 500 Cadenza sales in the United States as it was still rolling out to dealerships, Kia expects its all-new sedan will continue developing a reputation and building on those sales figures.
While Kia's leap into the luxury segment is somewhat bold for the typically value-driven automaker, it plans to continue that trend and offer a full lineup of upscale vehicles by 2017, and the Cadenza certainly has shown it is capable of leading the way.
With just a single available trim, the Cadenza challenges reputable rivals like the Nissan Maxima and Lincoln MKZ in every category. The 2014 Cadenza is wider and longer than Kia's smaller Optima sedan, as it shares a platform with its cousin Hyundai Azera.
Although only one trim is available on the Kia Cadenza, there is an optional Premium package that adds features like active xenon headlights, a 7-inch gauge cluster, and upgraded leather upholstery. With a further upgrade to the Technology package, the Cadenza comes equipped with 19-inch tires, blind-spot and lane departure warning systems, and water-repellent front windows. There also is the luxurious White package, which represents the finest bundle for the Cadenza.
