2013 Lincoln MKX helping to relaunch Lincoln image

New crossover available at Mike Castrucci of Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, Ky., Feb. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- When the Lincoln Motor Company was reintroduced to the public in December of 2012, it was the reintroduction of a line of cars that have long stood for luxury and refinement. Among the first vehicles that the newly branded Lincoln Motor Company produced was the 2013 Lincoln MKX in Cincinnati, available from Mike Castrucci of Alexandria, a luxury crossover SUV that combines several attractive features into one cohesive product that has the style to impress and perform.

Refined styling on the interior of the 2013 Lincoln MKX is everywhere with fine leather seats and an upscale Tuxedo Stripe that is a signature of the new MKX in Cincinnati. The front seats are 10-way adjustable as well as both heated and cooled. The leather is treated in a chromium-free, organic process that makes the leather of the interior 100 percent recyclable at the end of its life as car upholstery. The rear seats are made of the same material and are also climate controlled with heated seats. The front seat passengers have the ability to customize their sections of the cabin to the temperature that suits them both.

The new MKX would not be given a Lincoln badge without having some of the latest in safety technology available. One of the most interesting safety features that come standard on the Lincoln MKX is the adaptive cruise control that works in concert with the automated forward collision warning. Adaptive cruise control is similar in theory to how cruise control has worked in vehicles for a long time. But the adaptive part means that once the driver has set the distance he or she would like to stay away from traffic, the sensors in the car will automatically adjust speed to keep that distance constant. Forward Collision Warnings work in a similar manner, if the car senses that a crash is likely to happen, a visual alert will be sent to the driver. If that alert is not heeded, an audible alarm will sound and the brakes will be preloaded so when the driver engages them and extra power will be added to assist the MKX in stopping faster.
